Do you know that every living thing has an equal amount of time every day – 24 hours. What do you do with the time you have? BIBLE READING: Proverbs 6:1-35
Do you waste or invest it? Do you use it to build or destroy your destiny? Do you use your time to prepare for the future you desire or watch it slip out of your hands?
Time is our greatest and most important resource. Therefore, take maximum advantage of the time you have.
What do you do with the time you have – the days, weeks, months, and years? While some are creating wealth, others are sinking into poverty with poor time management.
What have you done with yourself this year? Any investments? Any new projects? Any new adventures? Any new advancements? Take stock now and evaluate yourself.
Sincerely speaking, have you done well this year? If yes, kudos. If not, decide to do better from today. Wisdom dictates that you invest, not waste, your time to create and sustain wealth.
You cannot stop time, you cannot stretch time, you cannot stockpile time, you cannot sell time, you can only waste, use, or invest time. What are doing with your time?
Here is what the wealthiest and wisest man that ever lived has to say to you on this:
🎯1. Do not waste your time with time wasters or spend your time doing or saying stupid things. Proverbs 6:1-2. My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger,
Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. Be deliberately discrete concerning what you do, commit to, and or say.
🎯2. Do not sleep away your best moments. Proverbs 6:4. Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. Sleep is good and they that sleep, sleep at night. But, do not allow sleep to cause your future to slip away from you.
👉🏾Do not sleep when you should be working or exercising.
👉🏾Do not be sleeping when you should be praying or serving God.
👉🏾Do not sleep when you should be reading, meditating, or studying.
👉🏾Do not be sleeping when you should be learning new things and getting better at what you do.
Do not allow sleep to take away your tomorrow.
☑️1. Deliver yourself from stupid sleeping habits. Proverbs 6:5. Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler. Replan and retool your life and time management.
☑️2. Learn from nature. Proverbs 6:6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: Learn something new every day from the ants, birds, animals, and elements of the world. Observe and learn.
☑️3. Lead yourself out of poverty into prosperity. Proverbs 6:7-8. Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.
Do not wait for anyone to lead you, lead yourself. Make the decision to change, plant, invest and sow seeds. Decide to maximize the summer season of your life.
☑️4. Kill the habits that will make you die poor. Proverbs 6:10-11. Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:
So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man. Kill slothfulness. Kill procrastination. Kill laziness of the mind, body, and spirit. Get up and get to work.
☑️5. Use your time to do good to avoid sudden destruction. Proverbs 6:14-15. Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.
Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.
☑️6. Hate the things God hates and love what He loves. Proverbs 6:16. These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: Engage yourself in the things God loves.
☑️7. Avoid flattery and evil people by spending time in the world. Proverbs 6:24. To keep thee from the evil woman, from the flattery of the tongue of a strange woman.
👉🏾Avoid things that will destroy your past struggles, investment, and sweats. Proverbs 6:26 For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.
👉🏾Avoid real or imagined fire that will hurt your future. Proverbs 6:27. Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? You know what your fire is. Avoid it.
☑️8. Stay within the law. Proverbs 6:31. But if he is found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house. Keep within speed limits, be content with what you have. Do not steal.
Remember, Solomon was not perfect, but he is teaching us via his own life experiences. I am not perfect too, but I’m presenting these via life experiences. In doing these, you will avoid the mistakes we made.
Invest, do not waste your time and life. Prayer. Lord, help me to invest my time appropriately. Be blessed. Stay blessed. 🙏🏼
