Life is so short, work is very good, and riches are really necessary. But, maintain a work-life balance. Bible Reading: Ecclesiastes 5:1-20
🎯1. Balance your kingdom stewardship. Ecclesiastes 5:1. Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God and be more ready to hear than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil.
Balance your services with your listening to the word of God. Do not be one of the individuals who are in all services but NEVER hear the word. They are busy managing traffic, busy serving food, busy cleaning toilets, or busy counting money.
Be careful. Balance your work with His word. Give attention to listening to His word and to hearing His voice. Balance your services.
🎯2. Balance your words with your works. Ecclesiastes 5:2. Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few.
Let thy words be few. Speak less and deliberately think before you speak. With God, speak seasoned words. Do not be in a hurry to accuse God of what He did not do.
With men, speak gracious words. Do not use your words to hurt or pull people down.
There is great wisdom in keeping silent.
Remember, there is foolishness in the multitude of words. Ecclesiastes 5:3. For a dream cometh through the multitude of business, and a fool’s voice is known by multitude of words.
Watch every word you speak. The angels are also watching. Ecclesiastes 5:6. Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it was an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?
🎯3. Balance your vows to self, man, and God. Ecclesiastes 5:4. When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.
Do not vow to impress anybody or God as vowing does not add to your righteousness. Do not allow any man cause you to vow stupidly – pledge money you do not have, vow to do things you may not be prepared to do.
Remember, Ecclesiastes 5:5. Better is it that thou shouldest not vow, than that, thou shouldest vow and not pay.
🎯4. Balance your dreams with your commitment to the dreams. Ecclesiastes 5:7. For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou, God.
Balance your dreams with your commitments to achieve them. If you are not willing to work the dream, discard it.
🎯5. Balance your love for things. Ecclesiastes 5:10. He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.
Yes, silver and gold are good, but use them to make life better – do not fall in love with them. Use the money to make life better – do not serve it.
🎯6. Balance your enjoyment of the blessings of God in your life. Ecclesiastes 5:11. When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes? Take time out to enjoy the blessings of God, but balance it.
👉🏾Do not eat to kill yourself before your time.
👉🏾Do not compare with others who will eat or send more. Live your phase per time.
🎯7. Balance your sleep with the amount of work done. Ecclesiastes 5:12. The sleep of a laboring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
Work and rest. Please learn to rest. Get out of the rat race. You are not in any competition with anybody – but yourself. So, work, rest, and refresh. Give yourself time to enjoy nature and to just rest.
- Do not allow the blessings of God in your life to give you sleepless nights. It is not worth it.
- Poorly managed riches can hurt. Ecclesiastes 5:13. There is a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.
- Ill-gotten and poorly managed riches can be lost. Ecclesiastes 5:14. But those riches perish by evil travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand.
🎯8. Balance your labor with rest. Ecclesiastes 5:15. As he came forth of his mother’s womb, naked shall he return to go as he came, and shall take nothing of his labor, which he may carry away in his hand.
You will leave the world with nothing. So, do not kill yourself working 24/7. Balance it. Therefore, make out time to enjoy the blessings of God in your life. Ecclesiastes 5:19.
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him the power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God. Enjoy life while you have it.
Balance is the key. Live a balanced life. Prayer. Lord, help me to balance all I do at all times. Be blessed. Stay blessed. ©️The Excellent Ministry 2021.
